Description:
Vande Mataram meaning "I bow to Thee Mother"
This was orginally written as a SIX stanza hymn in praise of Goddess Durga by Bankim Chattopadhyay/Bankim Chandra Chatterjee (1838-1894) in his novel Anandamath (1882).

The two of total six verses which are not contained in this song from movie Ananda Math (1952) are given here:

Thou art knowledge/wisdom, thou art Dhamra (law); Thou art heart and love divine,
Thou art prana/breath and Thou art this body,
Thou art the Shakti residing in our arms, Thou art the Bhakti/devotion in our hearts;
In every form, in all our places of worship, residence is Thine. - verse 4 -

Dark hued, candid/easy to please, glorious smile divine, with Jewelled Hair,
Showering (on us wealth. goodness etc.) from Thine well-stored hands, Mother!
Mother I bow to Thee. - 6 -
